MEDICAL FRAUD  and the criminal assault of boys

Practice of infant circumcision is a grave form of child abuse

If only the American people in general knew the truth about this subject it would become a thing of the past overnight. I would like to see the press do far more to defend these least protected members of our society. The Saturday Evening Post, Phil Donahue, and the NBC Magazine did a great job last year of exposing this oppressive fraud. However, it still goes on right here in Charlotte even today.

Society is just going to have to realize that when you strap a newborn baby down and cut a part of his penis off- and this a spectacle of cruelty reserved not even for the worst of criminals- that this constitutes the gravest form of child abuse.

When you start fooling around with any kind of surgery on an infant without it's ability to consent, you're getting into someone else's personal space, rights and freedom of choice over their own life very heavily.

What if he grows up simply wanting a natural body? Well, that's just too bad; that right was stolen from him in infancy, here in our so-called "land of the free." In fact, this country is the only nation on Earth today where this is done for non-religious reasons. In the Soviet Union, it's actually against the law. Ironic Isn't it?

Circumcision

I recently noticed three very true letters on circumcision so I decided to express my opinion.

I think we all know by now that there is absolutely no medical reason for putting a baby through this terrible torture.

I am a senior and was born in a very remote part of the country and grew up in the 30's in a one-room shack with my parents. So as you can imagine, from the time I was about six or seven, baths were out of the question, except in summer when we went swimming in the lake.

The outside toilets were so cold in winter, one didn't spend any more time there than necessary.

In those days circumcision was practically unheard of so of course I was not done.

I never, despite the unsanitary conditions, had any problems with infections in this area.

So now in modern private bathing facilities, you cannot tell me it is necessary to put a baby through this torture and deprive a man of a protective sheath that nature gave him to protect the most sensitive part of his body, because he cannot keep it clean.

So let the boys grow up the way nature intended and if they wants it done later in life, it will be their decision. I think every man should have the right to decide if he wants to change the way he was made.
