HOW YOU CAN HELP END CIRCUMCISION
"Say No To Circumcision " for your own children. If your doctor asks if you want your son circumcised ask: "What for?" Was he born abnormal and needs surgical corrections? Do not sign consent forms and be certain that your doctor and nurses know that you want your son to remain intact as he was born.
Know the facts about circumcision. NOCIRC and other organizations listed on this website, provide an abundance of excellent material pertaining male circumcision.
Educate those in your family - children - and others informing them that circumcision is not necessary and is just a mutilation which deprives males of a vital sensory part of their bodies as well as the much needed penile protection for the male during his lifetime.
If you are a circumcised male, this fact does not mean that you would likewise permit your son to undergo painful surgery for which there is no medical benefit. There is no mandate in surgery to make children resemble their father.
If you as a parent circumcised your son because of misinformation or no information provided by your doctor, present the facts to the doctor challenging the ethics and legality of the procedure.
BECOME AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN YOUR OPPOSITION TO MALE CIRCUMCISION

At Medical Ethics Network, there are no membership fees. Just write us a letter or send us an email stating that you would like to be a partner in this movement.
Monitor the media - newspapers - journals - magazines - television or radio for pro-circumcision propaganda. Write a short letter questioning the arguments for circumcision from a human rights and medical ethics point of view. See questions in the first part of this website which you may ask. (We have done this for nearly twenty years and we have yet to get one advocate of circumcision to answer one of our questions.)
If you would like to place an ad in your local paper - media - advertising this website, this would certainly be an effective way of providing the facts.
If you are able, organize a NOCIRC organization in your area and become an activist.
IF YOU ARE A VICTIM OF CIRCUMCISION
Do not be afraid to express your grievance with your parents, doctors, and other individuals. As a male you have the same right to an intact body as females - and to decide what is in your best interests when you are mature enough to make this decision.
Express you grievance and break the silence.
Challenge medical organizations for not taking action against doctors who do not practice in accordance with ethical medical principles. The rights of children should be protected and not violated. Doctors have a legal and moral obligation to protect children against unnecessary and harmful medical procedures. This includes circumcision.
Write letters to members of government, local and federal - as well as human rights and civil liberties organizations. Demand equality under the law for everyone - not just females.
Educate others by providing material which can be obtained from this website or others. Publications are also available: books, newsletters, videos etc. Please check various websites for this type of information which is readily available.
If you feel that you would like to sue for damages - we can help you. Most doctors are very willing to settle out of courts where they do not have to defend unethical practices.

The public has been duped by a small number of individuals whose main goal was and still is - to promote the mass circumcision of both males and females. Females have spoken out and even received protection under the Criminal Code in Canada and the USA. While the Criminal Code of Canada provides equal protection to males, doctors continue to ply their trade because no one has to date charged them with a criminal offense. It took males, who were sexually abused as boys, more than thirty years to be heard. The wheels of justice move slowly - but justice will prevail.
There is no statute of limitations for criminal acts in Canada. Let's circumcise the doctors financially, and demand that they no longer be permitted to practice medicine.
During the past twenty years, hundreds of professional and educated individuals have taken a close look at genital mutilation and are now demanding an end to his practice. Members of the medical profession - lawyers - university personnel - members of the media - have joined the thousands of ordinary individuals who are now speaking out against this destructive and demeaning act.
We need the assistance of professionals in Canada to add to the already powerful voice of those who are speaking out. "Doctors Opposing Circumcision" are also seeking the support of other physicians who will lend their support in opposing this practice.
We need the support of all concerned individuals who are willing to join us in demanding an end to this unethical and demeaning practice. We need to hear from you now. Aggravated assault on infant males via circumcision can no longer be tolerated and permitted to continue.
